Glimpses of Central
Hong Kong came almost to a standstill last evening, as heavy rains swept across the city, accompanied by hail in some parts.
If you’ve ever experienced a black signal level rainstorm, you might know that the relentless downpour, zero visibility, loud thunder and frequent lightning flashes can together be enough to make you want to shut your eyes, stuff your fingers in your ears and start singing “These are a few of my favourite things” at the top of your voice.
But you wouldn’t know that if you looked at the streets of Central today…
Life was back to usual.
With just a few reminders of the night past.
The clearer glasses…
The brighter signs…
The puddles…
And the last remnants of the rain drops…

Great pics! I miss HK a lot, especially going to central. I suspect a lot of HK-ers abroad would echo those sentiments and these pictures certainly come with a strong dose of nostalgia. Once again, great pictures.
