(Wk 25) Joy is…

… Realizing that there is lots to discover in your own city!

This weekend we made our way to the Shek O headland on Hong Kong island, to try and emulate the style of photographer, Peter Lik.

I’ve been to Shek O beach before (and it is gorgeous) but the headland area (hidden away at the end of the Shek O village road ) was an absolute gem.

Since words won’t do justice to it, let me just take you on a walk around the area.

If you squeeze past the barriers and get on to a cliff –

Climb down, get on to the bright blue bridge and look on to the other side –

Climb the little hill and look around the bend –

Reach the top and gaze around –

Finally, retrace your steps and find a comfortable spot… to get lost in the sound of the turquoise waves lapping against the ochre rocks.

Absolutely serene, don’t you think?

And now, join Yvette on a joyful walk around NYC.
